Cutler Announces Grants for Area Charities
January 14, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) today announced that Solid Rock Youth Ministries in Quarryville and The Factory Ministries in Paradise have received grants from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).
The Factory Ministries has received a $26,000 grant, while Solid Rock Youth Ministries has received a $44,550 grant.
“This is great news for two amazing charities in the 100th District,” said Cutler. “Both groups help out those who need it most in our communities, whether that’s helping them with food insecurity or providing free afterschool care, I know this funding will be going to good causes that will help the Solanco area.”
Factory Ministries will use the funding to expand its Factory Market program, which is a by-choice market that invites participants experiencing food insecurity to shop bi-weekly for fresh, refrigerated, frozen and dry goods that fit each person’s diet. Solid Rock Youth Ministries plans to renovate its recently purchased new facility to provide enhanced afterschool and summer programs, including support, fellowship, healthy snacks and meals for hungry children and their families.
